L3Harris in Tewkesbury is part of our ICI division, we work closely with UK Government and Security Agencies primarily in the areas of crypto/cyber security, electronic warfare, counter drone capabilities and situation awareness projects.A few of our employee benefitsHybrid working available where possible12pm finish every Friday25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), increasing with long service and with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 daysPrivate medical insurance with optional family coverPension scheme of up to 7% employer contributionLife Assurance 4x salary (flexible up to 10x)Group income protectionFlexible opt-in extras such as a health care cash plan, dental insurance, gym membership, critical illness cover and cycle to work schemeEmployee assistance program providing mental health and wellbeing supportWhat the role will involveThe responsibilities of your role will include the following:Responsible for the cost and on time delivery of materials, supplier management, sourcing of new suppliers, supply chain risk reduction and maintenance of strategic pricing modelsSuccessfully execute on-time, on-cost & on-quality delivery of all required procurement activities that support our product portfolio offerings.Maintenance of strategic pricing modelsSupport the preparation of quotations/tenders, analysis of supplier bids, contract negotiations, the award of contracts and Make/Buy decisions as requiredSupport and execute PLM processes to manage change and minimise the risk and related cost of obsolescenceWork with the Continuous Improvement Team to help facilitate the application and sustainment of our Design for Supply Chain and Design for Manufacture requirementsWhat you’ll bringThe role of Senior Buyer requires the following experience and skills:Professional qualification in Supply Chain Management, through CIPS or similarAbility to handle multiple projects, high volume activity and establish priorities in a dynamic business environmentGood with analytics – proficient working knowledge of Excel is essentialExperienced in risk identification, management, monitoring, and mitigation techniquesProficient in providing key Supply Chain data and deliverables, using best practice in a complex environment, remaining outcome and customer focusedImportant to knowDue to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
