Senior Buyer

Red Rock Partnership Limited are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Lincoln who are looking for a Senior Buyer to join their busy team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Source new suppliers and work alongside existing suppliers, maintain and develop relationships to negotiate and purchase goods, materials and services to meet requirements


• Day to day management of all procurement activities including working within parameters of budgetary requirements and overseeing/signing off purchase orders


• Working alongside senior management to determine material purchasing strategies to aid with forward production planning.


• Creating/maintaining finished product costings on a continual basis


• Stock management


• Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs.


• Supplier selection/de-selection - ability to evaluate challenges faced by the business and take the necessary action to mitigate supply chain risks


• Awareness to anticipate price and market trends/changes early.

About you:

• Previous experience working within a purchasing position.


• Proven contract management and supplier experience


• Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities


• Computer literate, especially in Excel skills. �Knowledge of SAGE 200 would be beneficial but not essential.


• The ability to self-manage, communicate effectively within teams and work well under pressure.
