Full Job DescriptionSenior Buyer - Derbyshire £65KnMy client is going through a period ofunprecedented growth, which has led to the expansion of theirStrategic Procurement team. The 5-year plan will see them double insize globally, which has led to multiple greenfield Procurementvacancies supporting significant investment in new productdevelopment, and the opening of new manufacturing locations, mostnotably in the USA.nThey have several key projects planned over thenext 5 years, including new machine implementations, development oftheir global BU's and investment into R&D for the future.nThePurchasing and Procurement function is responsible for an annual spendof over £3 billion, with over 3,000 global suppliers across severaldirect categories.nJob SummarynYou, the senior buyer would be joininga fast-paced environment, where they would like you to drive thefuture direction of purchasing and procurement. You will be expectedto work closely with global purchasing teams and mange global supplierrelationships to add value.nThe main purpose of the role is to ensurethat you, the Senior Buyer will manage the direct spend within thepreferred category and ensure purchasing and agreements are at themost competitive prices.nKey Responsibilities:nYou will be responsiblefor developing global category strategies to ensure a robust andcompetitive supply chain.nDevelop Category StrategiesnEngage withsuppliers and stakeholder to ensure you are sourcing the best productsfor projectsnManage multiple resource / capacity projects withsuppliersnYou will identify and drive cost reduction activitiesnBeresponsible for leading contractual negotiations for yoursuppliersnDevelop and lead (global/regional) supplierrelationshipsnBuild strong relationships across the business and yoursupply basenAbout you:nYou will ideally be a Procurement professionalwho has experience with Purchasing and Procurement in a manufacturing,automotive or similar industry. You will be within a reasonablecommute time for South Derbyshire and be interested in joining aglobal business where there is a large amount of opportunity todevelop.nEssential:nProcurement experience - preferably within themanufacturing industrynExperienced in purchasing for directcategories, preferably within Hydraulics, Electronics, Fasteners,Components, Engines, Plastics, Casting & Forging, or RawmaterialsnExperience developing and implementing successful long-termcategory strategiesnUnderstanding of key cost drivers within a supplybasenConfident negotiator with a proven record of creating cost ideasand delivering significant reductionsnExperience managing multipleprojects and co-ordinating cross functional teams to ensure on-timedeliverynExperience managing high level supplier relationships &delivering tangible benefits - preferably within globalorganisationsnAbility to build strong internal relationships -preferably experience working closely with technicalengineersnDesirable Traits:nYou have a sense of urgency anddetermination to succeednYou can operate in a fast-paced environmentwith changing prioritiesnYou are resilient, adaptable and open tochangenYou work well within a team and can support others whenneedednIf you have direct procurement experience across any of thepre-mentioned categories, please either apply directly to this advert,or get in touch with me at:JBRP1_UKTJ
