Senior Business Development Manager - Unlocking Your Full Potential

Are you an ambitious professional looking for an exciting opportunity to grow and make your mark in the pharmaceutical industry? Our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding consultancy, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join their UK team. This is your chance to be the first person to lead business development in the UK and create the role from scratch, showcasing your value and expertise.

With over 14 years of industry experience, our client has grown from 100 to 600 employees and has expanded internationally, acquiring companies in the UK and Madrid. They have big growth plans and aim to have 1500 employees by 2025. As part of this ambitious and innovative company, you will have numerous career opportunities while witnessing rapid change and progress in the industry.

Joining our client's mid-size organization means you will experience a flatter hierarchy and smaller structure. You will be only one person away from the CEO, enabling faster and more efficient communication and allowing you to have a bigger impact on the company's growth and success.

As the sole Business Development person in the UK, you will have a vast territory and a wide range of client options. This provides you with the potential to be highly successful and achieve your targets. In addition, our client offers a competitive bonus structure, with the possibility of earning more than 20% if you truly exceed your targets.

Being part of an international sales team, you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues from China, Spain, Benelux, Germany, Latin America, and more. Regular virtual meetings will ensure a strong sense of team atmosphere and allow you to see the bigger picture, even when you are the only one in the UK. You will also report to the Chief Commercial Officer in Belgium and the Country Manager in the UK, ensuring you have the autonomy to work independently while having the support you need when necessary.

This is a remote role, allowing you to improve your work-life balance and save time and money on commuting. Enjoy more time with your family, friends, and hobbies while having the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Requirements:

  • You must have a Master's Degree in a scientific field
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. However, our client is open to considering candidates with spot-on experience or experience in diagnostics or medical devices.
  • Ideally, you will have operational experience in Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, or Medical Affairs, as well as a minimum of 3 years of Business Development or Sales experience selling services.
  • If you lack experience in the aforementioned areas, our client is also open to considering candidates with experience in sales or business development for a consultancy that offers similar services.
  • Fluency in English is essential to succeed in this role.
  • As an entrepreneurial and ambitious professional, you will thrive in this role where you can take ownership and create opportunities. Your ability to build strong relationships, identify prospects, and solve complex problems will be critical in driving success. Additionally, you should be comfortable working in an international environment and possess qualities such as resilience, hunger for knowledge, and innovation.

Our client offers an attractive and competitive salary package, investing in sustainable careers and meaningful connections. As a knowledge-based company, they are committed to helping you thrive within the life sciences industry. Moreover, they aim to create a joyful community where individuality is celebrated and everyone is encouraged to be themselves.
