Purpose of the role
Aveni is in its high growth phase, and we believe our Senior Business Development Manager will have an excellent opportunity to help our clients solve difficult challenges. Joining at an extremely exciting time for the business, the Senior Business Development Manager will drive revenue through end-to-end sales, seeking opportunities to provide prospective clients with our Aveni Detect and Aveni Assist platforms to help them with risk monitoring, improve agent performance and drastically increase productivity.
The opportunity would suite someone looking to transition into a Head of Sales over the 12 months, combining hands on sales alongside strategic planning.
You will lead Sales Development Representatives, setting KPIs, coaching and guiding them through the lead generation and qualification process. It will then be your responsibility to deliver demonstrations of the Aveni platform to these qualified leads and nurture them through the sales process through to onboarding.
The role is needed as part of the growth and expansion of the business. You will be chartered with driving the adoption of our platform into and within new clients and leveraging Partners and Professional Services resources for success.
Key responsibilities
Lead the sales team, setting KPIs, coaching and guiding them through the lead generation and qualification process
Closing new business opportunities in line with monthly revenue targets
Discover new Enterprise opportunities from targeted leads as well as develop new leads from individual proactive prospecting efforts.
Responding swiftly to marketing leads and arranging timely introductory meetings and product demonstrations
Articulate the company's service, benefits, and processes to potential clients through all outlets (phone, online, and in-person)
Nurturing clients through the sales process
Producing tailored and impactful sales proposals and contracts, to meet client needs
Updating all activities on HubSpot
Using HubSpot to communicate accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting of sales opportunities
Work closely with other department help with product design, customer onboarding, using feedback from the market to drive improvements and provide insights
Requirements
Extensive experience gained within the Financial Services sector, with a broad network
Experience managing RFP/RFI processes within enterprise sales deals
Ability to demonstrate a track record of achievement of sales targets
Ability to pro-actively prospect, unearthing new sales opportunities and turning them into long-term partnerships
Ability to communicate and convey the value proposition of a complex software platform via phone and presentations
Team player who works well collaboratively with colleagues, management, and staff across all levels of an organisation, with the ability to thrive in an ever-changing, upbeat environment
Ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus and work ethic
Motivation to grow and win, individually and as part of a team
Energetic team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills
