Senior Business Analyst

Technologies: Business Analyst Software Development lifecycleEndeavour is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their engineering client for a contract in either Plymouth, Bristol, Rosyth of Faslane. You will be supporting the IT needs across the Martime sector, sitting within the Business Relations part of the Business Solutions department. You will be assigned to programmes, bids, and projects to work with the business to understand and gather their business case and requirements.ResponsibilitiesWorking with the Solution Managers and BRMs to elicit business requirements for programmes and projects – understanding business wants and establish needs and document as necessaryWorking with and supporting the business on the production of the business case and quantify business benefitsCarrying out stakeholder’s analysis understanding roles and involvement in the projectWorking with development teams to perform a gap analysis on requirements vs solutionData analysis where requiredUsing business modelling techniques to develop current and desired scenarios as directedApplying methods to identify user experience to ensure user friendly processesSelecting appropriate techniques for the documentation of detailed requirements considering the nature of the required changes ensuring traceability back to sourceIdentifying opportunities to improve business process and/or systems within projectsLiaising with the test function and business teams to determine evaluation and acceptance criteria for tests against requirementsRunning playback sessions with the business on requirements (for sign-off), playback of proposed technical design (acting as a bridge), tracking solution delivery meets business requirementsProviding guidance to junior members of the teamRequirementsExperience in use of modelling and analysis tools and techniquesDemonstrate a systematic, disciplined analytical approach to problem solvingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, comfortable working in teams and confident in dealing with clients/usersUnderstanding of importance of commercial constraintsBroad understanding of software development life cycle and IT delivery approachesSelf-motivated, able to plan and schedule own work within a limited time horizonIf you are a Senior Business Analyst looking for your next contract, please apply with your CV
