Senior Building Surveyor

Our Client is looking for a senior building surveyor to join them on a short term contract. As a senior building surveyor you will be responsible to to provide a comprehensive professional Building Surveying design and contract management service to internal and external clients, by delivering, controlling and managing construction related projects in a commercial and customer focused way, which achieves programs, meets performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• To deliver services, projects and achieve objectives set out in the current Corporate Asset Plan, as well as objectives and targets set out by the department and line managers
• To achieve objectives set out in the Corporate Asset Plan and comply with statute Delivering projects on time, within budget, zero defect target and fulfilling the clients brief
• To Satisfy statute and manage risks.
• To minimise or eliminate risk, ensuring statutory compliance is maintained and the council's reputation upheld.

You will need:

• Must possess a construction related degree and have post qualification experience in a similar role. Member RICS, RIBA, CIOB or equivalent or working toward the status.
• Must have strong planning, contract and project management skills with the ability to plan develop and progress projects to meet strategic targets and a good working knowledge/experience of JCT & NEC forms of contract.
• Working knowledge of the CDM Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, Control of Asbestos at Work Act, Building Regulations.
