A thriving building consultancy based in Newcastle is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Senior Building Surveyor to join their team.
This consultancy prides itself on delivering a comprehensive range of services across a variety of projects, including insurance work, primarily within residential and commercial buildings across all forms of construction.
The Senior Building Surveyor role
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in conducting inspections and providing expert advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of various types of buildings and sites. You will be responsible for:
- Conducting acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys, and defect investigations.
- Preparing detailed reports, schedules of works, and works specifications.
- Understanding and applying relevant legislation, such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning.
- Providing supervision and support to APC candidates, promoting knowledge and understanding.
The Senior Building Surveyor
- Proven experience as a Senior Building Surveyor, ideally within similar sectors.
- A can-do attitude and eagerness to get involved in a variety of projects.
- Hunger for progression with a clear route to Director within the firm.
- Capability to work fairly independently with wide sector experience.
- Ideally, experience in work-winning/development.
- MRICS qualification is advantageous but not strictly required.
