Senior Bridging Finance Underwriter

Salary: �100k total package inc Salary & Bonuses

Location: Mayfair, London

5 days in the office

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and underwrite bridging finance loan applications, assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers and the viability of proposed transactions.


• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analysing financial statements, credit reports, and collateral valuations to make informed lending decisions.


• Collaborate with the sales team and borrowers to gather necessary documentation and information, ensuring a smooth and efficient underwriting process.


• Structure loan terms and conditions in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.


• Provide recommendations on loan approvals, declines, or modifications based on thorough analysis and risk assessment.


• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to present underwriting decisions and address any concerns or questions.


• Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices related to bridging finance underwriting.


• Mentor and provide guidance to junior underwriters, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of underwriting experience.


• Strong analytical and communication skills.


• Proficiency in underwriting software and MS Office Suite.


• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
