Senior Biomedical Scientist

We are seeking a Senior Biomedical Scientist to assist in the running our testing laboratory located at Daresbury near Warrington. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, influential and self-motivated HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist who possesses excellent communication skills. The successful applicant should have considerable, recent experience within a pathology laboratory.

The Role:

* To assist in providing a Blood Sciences and Molecular Diagnostic service

* Responsible for adding technical and approved clinically relevant comments before sending results to external clients on behalf of the company.

* Provide training to laboratory staff.

* Responsible for interpretation of results and take actions according to company policies.

* Responsible for authorising results

* To liaise with senior staff and medical staff in all matters relating to diagnosis

* Responsible for maintaining quality systems within the laboratory

Experience and Qualifications:

* Current and active HCPC registration as a biomedical Scientist

* Understanding and knowledge of Clinical Chemistry/Serology, Haematology, and Molecular Diagnostics

* Experience of working in a regulated lab-based environment

* Experience in providing training to laboratory staff
