Job Description
The ideal candidate will be a well organised professional with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling themselves to successfully operate in a fast-paced, research-driven commercial environment or in a collaboration with industry where confidentiality and discretion are paramount. Previous experience working in genomics in an immunological context, or in target or biomarker discovery would be advantageous.

Design and conduct integrative genomics analyses
Perform detailed analysis of putative therapeutic targets or biomarkers identified
Communicate biological insights derived from multiomic analyses clearly to specialist and non-specialist audience
Required Skills and Abilities
We are looking for a candidate with the following expertise:
PhD or equivalent experience in biological or quantitative subject area, with a strong focus on biological data analysis.
Post-doctoral or equivalent experience in academia, or in pharmaceutical or biotech companies.
Hands-on analysis of next generation sequencing data sets, especially Hi-C, ATAC-seq, bulk RNA seq single cell RNA seq, histone modification ChIP-seq/CUT&TAG, and methylation sequencing.
Integration of large scale functional genomics data to find actionable insights.
Experience working with public datasets such as Genomics England, UK biobank, Encode, GTEx and the EBI GWAS Catalogue.
Expertise in at least one of the languages commonly used in scientific programming (such as Python, R, or Julia) and experience with Linux environments.
Knowledge of dimensionality reduction and data clustering methods including PCA, UMAP, K-means and hierarchical clustering.
Ability to communicate complex topics to an array of different backgrounds and audiences.
Experience in immunology preferred.
Experience with detailed analysis of GWAS-like data (e.g. fine mapping or Mendelian randomizatio3n) preferred.
