Senior BI Developer

About the role
Putting home ownership within reach of more people has never been more important to Leeds Building Society and as such we are investing a huge amount into making sure our technology is fit for purpose and our ability to make timely and accurate decisions is unparalleled. These new roles will play a huge part in ensuring we're taking full advantage of the data we currently capture and building out our brand new Azure platform (Databricks, Power BI) to further our capabilities.

Reporting to the BI Development Manager, you will be a role model within the BI team, providing guidance, mentoring and recommendations to the wider team.
You will lead the design, development, testing and delivery of information solutions that streamline, simplify and improve the accuracy of information generation and distribution.
What will you bring to the role?
Previous experience in a BI or Data Developer role with proven track record in data analytics – providing insight as well as recommendations.
Experience of working with Azure Databricks
Advanced SQL skills and knowledge of database structures.
Detailed Data Warehouse Design & Modelling Skills.
Working knowledge of SAP HANA (inc. Calculation Views) and SAP Data Services.
Experience of using modern BI technologies - SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Lumira, Design Studio).
Strong communication skills – able to communicate complex issues simply and clearly, share ideas and knowledge with others and challenge in a cross-functional environment.
Ability to interpret user requirements to design & build effective solutions.
Ability to mentor junior colleagues
