Town Hall160 Whitechapel RoadLONDONE1 1BJWe have recently created two new Senior Technical officer posts to work in the Housing Benefit section.The post will be responsible for the Technical Team and maintaining the integrity and availability of the Housing Benefit computer systems - NEC Benefits and Civica 360 (Comino).We are looking for two candidates with experience of running reports and scripts using SQL and UNIX within NEC Benefits system, and who have led a Technical Team through upgrades, testing and the year-end processes.We would also expect the successful candidates to be able to:·lead on the development and implementation of a Systems and Development strategy plan, advising the Benefit Management Team to drive performance into the top quartile during the next 3-5 years and strengthening the delivery of the long-term service strategy for the Revenues and Benefits Service.·To research new initiatives, formulate policy and deliver business and process improvement programmes related to the use of new technology.·Lead the Team through testing and implementing any new releases and upgrades to the systems. and·To project manage any changes to the Benefits ICT systems.
