Senior Avionic Design Engineer

Excel are currently looking for an experienced avionic design engineer to join the team of a multinational aerospace company based in the south of the UK on a permanent basis to undertake drafting of circuit layouts and diagrams, electrical assemblies, avionic systems and harnesses and management of associated documents for modification to aircraft and for avionic and electrical upgrade packages.
You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical and avionic design documentation (drawings and supporting documents) are managed in compliance with both company procedures as well as regulatory requirements – some of the tasks within this role can be listed as:
Creation of wiring diagrams and schematics
Test plans and reports
CVE assistance
Master document lists
Supporting project manager and project teams in line with customer requirements
Management of design airworthiness requirements
Changes to design data
The right candidate for this opportunity will have at least 5 years experience within a design function with a clear understanding of aircraft avionic/electrical component and/or system design requirements, ideally with a strong focus and knowledge of regulatory requirements across EASA, CAA and FAA and how to apply to them to the design process.
