Senior Application Packaging Engineer

Harvey Nash is delighted to be partnering with the University of Leeds to recruit Senior Application Packaging Engineers for their Software Delivery team.

The university has set out an ambitious plan to enhance student education, research, and corporate systems through increased use of digital technology, data, and digital approaches as part of their new university strategy.

You will work with colleagues across the university, playing a key role in the delivery of apps and software - ensuring that tools and apps are pushed out, functional and updated using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint configuration Manager, AppsAnywhere, CloudPaging, Intune, and Jamf.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Academic & Research community to gather requirements and ensure that the software they use is functioning correctly, as well as liaising with the software licensing team to ensure everything is correctly licensed including server licensing.

Experience of interest:
* Experience with software packaging technologies such as InTune, Jamf, AppsAnywhere, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager;
* Packaging virtualised applications for various operating systems i.e. Windows, MAC, iOS, Linux;
* Working with different business areas to gather requirements and essential applications and software;
* Collaborating with IT services to organise, co-ordinate and deliver large scale software deployments;
* Mentoring and supporting other Application Packaging engineers in the team, acting as a escalation point for hard to resolve issues.
* Experience supporting legacy tools such as SCCM, APP-V would be beneficial, but not essential;
* Working in an Agile(Scrum/Kanban) environment would be desirable.
