Job Description
12 month FTC, base salary to £34,000 + 10% pension & up to 10% bonus - package c£42,000
Anthony Cole Associates are pleased to be partnering with a nationwide Property / Real Estate organisation that supply essential services to the country. An exciting newly created opportunity has arisen to recruit a Senior Transactions Officer to join the Finance team on an initial 12-month FTC, to oversee the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable teams whilst the respective managers focus their attentions on the finance system implementation project which has just commenced. This will be a challenging but highly rewarding role that will offer a hybrid work pattern, however the ability to travel to one of the client’s main offices either in the Northwest or the Midlands is required.
The postholder will provide supervision and assurance that all timetabled tasks within AP & AR are completed and be the point of escalation within the department(s) as necessary. They will be required to performance month end tasks, reporting and compensating control tasks for audit purposes.
As a member of the wider team the post holder will also be required to assist in other daily finance functions relating to payments into and out of the business, as required and will provide cover in the event of other Finance staff being on leave.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong track record in accounting and finance
Experience of leading and influencing in a transactional role covering both AP & AR, ideally via a shared service environment
Good financial controls & PO / approval-based environment experience
AAT Qualification or similar preferred
Good Excel skills
Experience of reconciling control accounts and month end tasks
Cash receipting/ banking experience
Ability to communicate effectively
Able to prioritise and manage time effectively and apply concentrated effort to deliver results on time
