As a Senior Cloud Analytics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in turning data into valuable insights that enable better decision-making across all functions. You will create cutting-edge visualizations and analytical views, support the creation of a self-service data mining environment, and develop a self-service reporting strategy. Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to shaping and implementing the Data & Analytics Strategy, ensuring technology and data align with users' demand for insights and informed decision-making.
Develop global standards and principles for consistent UI designs and tools across all analytics engineers.
Support the design and delivery of analytics infrastructure on Azure, focusing on Synapse, Power BI, and the analytical data layer built on a single version of truth.
Review user requirements, lead UI design in Power BI, and provide guidelines for appropriate visualizations to match insights use cases.
Offer data analysis, engineering, data model, and data management guidance to the rest of the engineering unit.
Ensure all code is well-structured, well-documented, and easy to maintain and reuse.
Deliver cost-effective, high-performance data services contributing to the organization's profitability and business performance.
Skills & Experience:
Strong experience as a Senior Analytical Engineer, with design experience in the Microsoft tech stack, including Azure cloud.
Good knowledge of Data Governance and Data Architecture processes and standards.
Deep knowledge of data modelling for analytics (e.g., Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Data Mesh architecture).
Excellent understanding of Agile frameworks and processes.
Strong understanding of the business's underlying needs and how your role contributes to them.
Expertise in building cubes and creating visualizations that support decision-making.
Experience within Financial Services, especially Insurance.
Degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems management, or a related field.
