Job title:Senior Air Traffic Engineer
Location:Warton – on-site Salary:£54,793 + (depending on skills and experience) What you’ll be doing:
Responsible to the Manager of Air Traffic Services for the maintenance and availability of effective and compliant people, processes and capabilities to enable an Air Navigation Service Provision in support of ‘Operational Delivery’
Manage day to day Engineering activities associated with the integrity, operation and serviceability of the Air Traffic Control Unit’s facilities and equipment’s to deliver effective communication, navigation and surveillance services. Control archived material including impounded tape/radar recordings. Maintain and implement the Approval of Maintenance Arrangements issued by the CAA SARG, ensuring support contracts are in place in line with manufacturer recommendations Maintain Air Traffic Engineers competencies to CAA and EU standards assuring the training and approval of licensed staff
Ensure and assure all facilities and equipment’s remain compliant with the applicable CAA regulations and licences , Manage the Unit’s maintenance programme including the provision and procurement of assets and their supporting service contracts through external suppliers
Provide an effective compliance and assurance model in support of the Manager of Air Traffic Services operational delivery.Ensure that all Air Traffic Services equipment is safeguarded
Your skills and experiences: Essential:
Experienced Engineer on Aerodrome communication, navigation and surveillance services and equipment’s In depth understanding of external Civil Aviation regulation Experienced business background with good stakeholder network across aerodrome estates Practical experience of audit/assessment/compliance and quality assurance within CAA/EU regulatory framework Understanding of external reporting requirements
Desirable:
HNC/HND in an Electronic engineering discipline or equivalent engineering experience

The Air Traffic Engineering Team : Join our dynamic team as the Senior Air Traffic Engineer at Warton Aerodrome, where you’ll be at the forefront of managing the Air Navigation Service Provision infrastructure. Reporting to the Manager Air Traffic Services, you’ll lead a dedicated team of five engineers, ensuring the seamless operation and safety of both military and civil flying activities. Your role will encompass the management of facilities, equipment, and policies, ensuring compliance with internal, statutory, and regulatory standards.
