About the role

• Lead design phases for special mission system installations and modifications.
• Contribute to all design aspects of technical projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate on cross-functional teams, providing engineering guidance to support projects.
• Independently perform technical checks of drawings and documents.
• Compile design and certification data for various design reviews.

About You

• Ideally, a degree or HND/HNC/OND/ONC in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in CAD (Catia experience advantageous) and stress analysis (Abaqus/ CAE).
• Experience in aircraft modifications under Part 21.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (CAA, EASA, FAA, Part 21, CS-25).
• Previous roles as a design checker signatory or Compliance Verification Engineer desirable.
• Membership in a professional engineering society would be an advantage.
• Professional Registration with relevant Engineering Council and evidence of CPD.
• Due to sector-specific requirements, an SC/ DV clearance is crucial for this role, and therefore applications are open exclusively to British nationals.
