Senior Administrative Officer- St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Pontefract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Administrative Officer to join our well established School Team. This is a key role within the school and the successful candidate will have relevant experience of working in a busy office environment. In particular, you will have experience of setting up new starters, submitting payroll information, managing and evaluating budgets and be proficient in the use of IT systems. Full training on our systems will be provided.
Our school is a Catholic primary school, set in the heart of the town of Pontefract. We are proud of our school community and value the contribution that we make to the local area. We are a one form entry from Reception to Year 6. We offer Nursery for children who are 3 years of age, including 30 hour provision. The school is part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust. As a Trust our administration teams work collaboratively to provide networking and training opportunities.

This role is Term time only, plus 5 inset days per year. You are required to work 39 weeks per year.
Salary details:
G6 FTE salary - £26,421 - £29,269 per annum, SCP 12 - 18
Actual Salary:
Term Time Only, plus 5 inset days £23,004 - £25,484 per annum

Hours Per Week:
37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm and Friday 8:15-3:45pm . Term time only plus 5 inset days.
Location:
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Newgate, Pontefract, WF8 4AA
Key duties will include:
Assisting with the planning, monitoring and evaluation of budget, working closely with the Trust Finance Manager
Collating data/information to produce reports/information/data as required
Undertaking the administration of Payroll systems.
Managing the administration of facilities including use of school premises, ensuring access to site and activities are properly controlled, monitored and health and safety procedures are followed under the guidance of the Head of Estates and Operations.
Providing administrative and organisational support to the Governing Body.
Drafting all HR documentation e.g. Employment contracts, Offer Letters, Variation letters etc
Undertaking recruitment administration and pre-employment checks.
The successful candidate will:
Be professional when dealing with parents, staff, children and other stakeholders in the school.
Be highly motivated, hardworking and proactive.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to working as part of a team.
Have experience working in an office administrative environment.
