Senior Accounts Assistant

A friendly, Berkeley-based accountancy practice is eagerly looking for a skilled Senior Accounts Assistant to join its supportive and close-knit work environment. This is a full, or part-time role offering a salary of up to £30,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time), hybrid working and free onsite parking.

What you'll do as the new Senior Accounts Assistant:

Take ownership of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
Guide and mentor the Accounts Assistants
Collaborate with the tax and payroll team
Build strong client relationships...and enjoy the occasional client meeting over a proper cup of tea!
The ideal fit for the Senior Accounts Assistant role:

Ideally, you've got solid UK accountancy practice experience; however, industry experience together with Xero is a plus, too
You enjoy using accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, and/or Sage
VAT returns are a breeze for you
CIS returns are familiar to you, and you’re happy to learn more about them - no hands-on experience with CIS is necessary
You love processes
You're all about accuracy, proactive problem-solving, and meeting deadlines
You’re a friendly face to have as part of our team
Please note: This position is ideal for candidates already residing in the area, as reliable transportation to the Berkeley office is essential.
