Senior Accountant

A leading firm of chartered certified accountants based in Chorley are looking to recruit a senior accountant. The firm deal with a wide spectrum of clients from sole traders, partnerships to limited companies. The firm offer a wide range of audit and accounting services both compliance and value added.

• As a senior accountant you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of strong relationships with your clients
• Understand the nature of clients' businesses and how they operate
• Keeping client promises and addressing clients' questions in a timely manner
• Plan monthly jobs in accordance with year ends
• Meeting monthly planning targets
• Complete Personal Tax Returns for a portfolio of clients in conjunction with the completion of accounts
• Must be proficient in cloud-based accounting software.
• Completion of accounts to a high standard in accordance with FRS 102 section 1A
• Software:
• Iris Accountancy Suite
• CCH Personal Tax
• Sage
• Xero
• Intuit-quickbooks. You will provide support to other team members.

In order to succeed in this senior accountant role you will need to have worked in a similar role for an accountancy practice previously. The ideal (but not essential) candidate will have excellent knowledge of the IRIS software. You will need to be able to work to strict deadlines, be self-motivated and have a good attention to detail. On top of this you should have good Microsoft excel skills and be able to work individually or as part of a team.
