Senior Accountant (Full or Part Qualified) - Hybrid/Guildford - Up to £52KThis rapidly expanding outsourcing and accounts team in Guildford, Surrey are now
seeking to add a Senior Accountant to work on a mixture of client facing
outsourcing engagements as well as statutory accounts and much more! You''ll be either full or part qualified, looking to qualify soon through ACA or ACCA. This Senior Accountant can expect a fast paced, challenging and
diverse workload, working with business owners and management directly on
projects such as implementing bespoke accounting systems as well as delivering
high quality internal monthly and annual statutory reporting. There is also the
opportunity to be involved in Corporate Finance work as it materialises.This Senior Accounant role requires someone confident and commercial enough to analyse financial information, interpret & present findings and advice to management level. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading junior staff.
Some of the main duties for this Senior Accountant include:Preparation of financial accounts for sole
traders, partnerships and limited companies, groups, charities and
academiesPreparing year end working paper files and
assisting auditorsPreparation of monthly or quarterly management
accounts including posting journals of accruals, prepayments, depreciation and
payrollPreparation of control reconciliations and
analytical review schedulesMaintenance of client’s accounting records and
reconciliations including bookkeeping, processing of client data and dealing
with queries. Preparation of VAT returnsWorking at clients’ premises on their computer
systems, liaising with the bookkeeper/director to prepare accounts and discuss
results This Senior Accountant would have the following qualifications and
experience:5 GCSEs or equivalent to include Mathematics and EnglishEducation to degree level or equivalentACCA/ACA qualified or part qualifiedMinimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practiceGood level of knowledge of accounting standards essentialExperience of working on consolidated and Charities’ accounts desirableExperience of CCH Accounts Production, and Xero Software desirableGood IT knowledge and skills, particularly ExcelIdeally be able to drive, with own vehicle This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant with fresh
