Job Title - SEND Teaching Assistant

Salary/Rate - �23,000 - �24,500 / annum

Contract: Permanent

Location - Knutsford

September start date

Leader Education is working in partnership with a SEN School based in Knutsford.

We are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEN school, providing educational support to students aged 5 - 17.

You will have previous experience of working with students with SEMH and complex needs - social, emotional and mental health issues (previously known as BESD, SEBD & EBD) learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. Large majority of the pupils are diagnosed with autism.

behaviour management skills are key as well as patience, empathy and understanding.

THE JOB:

� You will be required to provide either one to one support or small group support to learners with a variety of needs

� Comply with individual learning plans

� To take direction from the class teacher and help support

YOU:

� You must be an experienced classroom support assistant with a good level of experience of working with students with SEMH and complex needs

� Be patient and resilient

� Be creative

� Make learning fun

� Excellent communication skills

� Have a therapeutic and holistic approach

� Team Teach trained would be advantageous, although training can be given.

Job Type: Permanent
