The School and Role
This ‘Good’ SEND Alternative Provision, based in Northumberland, supports children and young people aged 10-18 and is looking to appoint a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work in either Key Stage 3 or 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Secondary and Post 16 SEND Alternative Provision as part of an established team, the desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis, 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 with pupils with SEND complex needs including Autism, Learning Disabilities and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). This full time SEND Teaching Assistantrole is long term from April ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.
The staff work together to make the school a safe, happy, and fun place to learn, encouraging all students to achieve the best they can across every area of school, from the rich and broad curriculum to the wide range of extra-curricular activities.
