Location: Stoke-On-Trent
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (up to 12 months)
Hours: 40 hours per week

The Opportunity: We are thrilled to announce 2 exciting teaching opportunities at this 'Outstanding' rated School. The school caters to young individuals aged 6-19 with ASC, communication, and sensory needs. They offer life skills training and a variety of GCSE/BTEC accreditation's, alongside functional skills/entry-level pathways. Your Role: As a Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Utilise creativity and uphold high expectations to support student achievement.
  • Apply your understanding of ASC to develop a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Guide and mentor Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants.
  • Implement school policies, particularly around safeguarding and equality.
  • Monitor and support the well-being and personal care of our pupils, liaising with relevant professionals as needed.

What They're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience in achieving outstanding outcomes for students.
  • A strong grasp of the curriculum and how to adapt it for SEN pupils.
  • Experience working with young people with ASD.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
  • Ability to build nurturing relationships with young people.
  • Experience managing diverse learning approaches, including supporting students with anxiety.
  • Skills in engaging reluctant learners through visual and strategic teaching methods.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability in teaching.
