Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher - Primary School

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to join a primary school in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SEND requirements and a proven track record of delivering effective teaching and support to children with a range of special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a primary school setting.
* Differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students with diverse abilities and requirements.
* Collaborate with the SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) and other staff members to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with SEND.
* Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to monitor student progress and inform future planning and interventions.
* Foster positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic and collaborative approach to supporting students' learning and development.
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic well-being of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a primary school setting.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of SEND requirements, including experience working with specific learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, speech and language difficulties, and other complex needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to engage in training opportunities relevant to SEND provision.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo clearance) is essential.
