APPLICANTS: - The Head Teacher is currently looking to recruit an experienced SENDCo to join their team for September 2024. The candidate will have a degree, Qualified Teacher Status and hold a NASENCO award, as well as having good working knowledge of the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice.

We are currently on the hunt to appoint a dedicated and inspiring professional with a proven track record of SEND delivery to join our outstanding learning facility.
The main purpose of the role is to be the lead SENDCo in the promotion, direction and overseeing of high standards of teaching and learning, pupil achievement and progression, for all our pupils with additional needs.
This is an exciting career opportunity for an exceptional candidate. We are looking for someone who can:
Think strategically to ensure the effective provision to the full cohort of pupils with additional needs
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Schools Special Educational Needs policy
Adopt an outcomes focused approach aimed at reducing the gap in progress and attainment
Co-ordinate the deployment of TAs to ensure that all their young people receive the best possible
Complete annual reviews in line with CoP guidelines
Advise and train staff on SEND strategies to support students in the classroom
Lead, develop and deliver our nurture programme

You will have a safeguarding responsibility if appointed.The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references.
