Tradewind recruitment is currently looking for a teaching assistant to support a student with special educational needs in a 1:1 position. The primary school is in Bristol and the position is from the 3rd June on a full-time, long-term basis. There is the opportunity here to continue with the school from September.
The role:
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering exciting and engaging curriculum
- Supporting the student socially, emotionally, and academically
- Assisting day-to-day running of the classroom
- Supporting the student 1-2-1 with various tasks and topics
We are looking for a teaching assistant who:
- Is patient, sensitive and understanding
- Has excellent communication skills and active listening skills
- Experience working with children or adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities is desirable
- A strong desire to support and work with children
Because of this, we are looking to pay up to �90 per day for the role - depending on qualifications and years of experience. The hours will be 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, however the school are willing to consider a job share for the right person.
