We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bath. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring they receive the assistance and guidance they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, including those with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) to meet students' specific needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and independence
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational needs of students with SEN
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of students and the school environment
