SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Havering | Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent | Hours: 8:30 - 3:30 | Salary: �95 - �105 | Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a child with ASD in Havering. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism, and will be able to build a positive and supportive relationship with the child.

Responsibilities:

- Work 1:1 with a child with autism, providing academic and emotional support.

- Help the child to develop their social skills and build positive relationships with peers.

- Monitor the child's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and parents

- Support the child in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials to meet their needs.

Requirements:

- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism.

- A warm and patient personality, with a passion for helping children reach their full potential.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

- A relevant qualification, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

- Must have SPLT experience.
