SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS/KS1)

Location: Oldham
Start Date: After Easter
Salary: £90+ per day

GSL Education are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Oldham. This role is ideal for those who have a special interest in supporting early years and key stage 1 students with special educational needs, particularly ASC/Autism.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students in EYFS or KS1 with ASC/Autism and other SEN.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Facilitating a safe and supportive learning environment for SEN students.
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to promote students' educational and social development.
  • Utilising effective strategies to engage and support SEN students in their learning journey.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:


  • Experience working with EYFS or KS1 students, particularly those with ASC/Autism.
  • A good understanding of the educational and social needs of SEN students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A commitment to professional learning and development in SEN.
