Exciting Opportunity for a SEN Teacher in St Helens!

Are you a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher looking for your next rewarding role? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teacher to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School in St Helens, starting this September.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teacher in our SEMH School, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored educational experiences to students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff.
  • Implement effective strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and academic progress.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for every student.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent SEN qualifications.
  • Has experience working with children with SEMH needs, either in a mainstream or specialist setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Is empathetic, patient, and committed to making a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
