The School
An 'Outstanding' SEN School in Croydon is looking for a Teacher for complex needs to join their friendly and passionate team. The School has an excellent reputation and strong relationships with parents and the community. Their recent Ofsted commented on the harmonious atmosphere of the School and said that pupils behaviour was excellent. The role will be for the academic year initially and for the right candidate, a permanent position will be offered.
The role
You will be teaching a class within the SEN department of the school, working with a class of 5 - 6 children with SLD. You will be working collaboratively with a team of teaching assistants supporting the children on a one to one basis. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the class, the planning of learning activities and reporting on pupil's progress a well as linking in with other members of relevant staff over their individual EHCPs.
The successful candidate
You will need to have experience of teaching children with profound multiple learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties. You will also have a track record of successful teaching and be able to provide references from your previous Schools.
