SEN Support: Mainstream Secondary School�
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you possess the skills and dedication to provide one-on-one support to students in a mainstream secondary school setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to a student with SEN, tailoring assistance to their individual needs and learning style.
  • Assist the student in accessing the curriculum, ensuring their academic progress and engagement.
  • Create and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with the classroom teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
  • Support the student with their social and emotional development, fostering positive relationships with peers and staff.
  • Collaborate closely with the teaching staff, SENCO, and other relevant professionals to ensure the student's needs are met effectively.
  • Monitor and track the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the SENCO and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a school setting.
  • Sound knowledge of various SEN conditions, learning difficulties, and appropriate support strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
