We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a reputable secondary school located in Walsall, West Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement and adapt lesson plans to accommodate the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social and academic development of all students.
  • Assist in the assessment and tracking of students' progress, working closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
  • Offer one-on-one support or small group interventions to address specific learning challenges.
  • Foster effective communication with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the care and education of students with special educational needs.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A degree in a relevant field, with a focus on Special Educational Needs or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • An understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in response to the evolving needs of students and the school community.
