Are you passionate about helping disabled people to be in charge of their own life? Our SDS Development Officers workwith individuals to assist them with considering their options under the Self-Directed Support legislation.Used to carrying a caseload, you’ll be helping people to understand the options for their social care that areavailable to them. If they choose to employ their own personal assistants, you’ll help them further by workingwith them to make this a reality. Your work will likely cover the whole of Fife, though we may divide up thearea into patches at a future date.Warm, kind and approachable, you’ll be a great communicator and you’ll bring a creative, problem solving and “can do”attitude. They are local, community led and entirely responsive to the needs of autisticpeople in their area.In this role, you will be responsible for supporting these branches to implement policies and procedures to keepactivities safe and legal and become more sustainable.To be successful, you will have good communication skills and have strong leadership qualities. You will need to havea good knowledge and understanding of volunteer management and be educated to at least university degree levelin an appropriate discipline or proven track record in the field.Where you will be working:This role will be home based, so you must be able to work remotely (IT equipment will be provided).
