As a security officer for G4S, variety is guaranteed. Your location and job activities will regularly change which means no two days are ever the same.You’ll ensure the safety of our customers and clients and no matter where you are based, we will train and support you every step of the way.
Am I suited to being a Security Officer?
A typical week will involve visiting a range of sites within your area; ensuring the safety of our customers' staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. Other elements of the role will include:
Building relationships with employers and community organisations
Working as part of a team and on your own depending on site requirements
Based in government buildings, you’ll be working within clear guidelines, dealing with employees & members of the public who need to attend the building
An opportunity to work across a number of sites where you will gain increased knowledge, growing your own value as a guard
Duties include opening locks of buildings, patrolling. alarm response, CCTV monitoring

The Ideal Candidate
If you are aged 18 or over and are a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service all times, then this could be the career for you!A good understanding of IT is required and as mentioned before, If you have a full SIA license we would love to hear from you, CCTV is desirable however not essential
Our contractual requirements mean that you will generally be working times from 15.00-23.00 and 23.00-07.00, shift pattern and will therefore need to be available to work Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays. Your shifts can be both daysand you’ll need to hold a full UK driving license plus have access to your own vehicle.
