We are currently recruiting for a Security & Facilities Manager to work from our R&D Site in St Asaph. The position focuses on ensuring the day-to-day safe, smooth and compliant operation of the Optical Systems Innovation Hub facility by performing a range of administrative tasks, ensuring all work is up to date and accurate.Security responsibilities include;Act as Deputy / Security Controller for the G&H UK BusinessManage facility security of the St Asaph siteSupport security-related audits, implementing new security policies and proceduresEnsuring adherence to Government, legislative and the companies Security policiesEnsure compliance with Security Aspects Letters (SALs) and maintain a register of SALsWork with project teams for security clearances/management of individual projectsConduct security inductions/briefings, security awareness training, security process trainingConduct risk assessments, present findings to senior leadership or project teams and implement identified mitigationsProvide training to users in the day-to-day maintenance of security documentationAssist the Personnel Security Controller, and Deputy with security vetting enquiriesLiaise with BS/IT to ensure compliance of company networks and IT infrastructure with legislative and customer requirementsFacility responsibilities include;Act as Office Manager; liaising with internal HR, Supply Chain and Finance teams in the G&H businessEnsure all process and procedures appertaining to general facility practices are adhered to at all times in line with company directives and facility accreditationsEnsure visitors comply with company policyPrepare documentation for reports to the groupDevelop and maintain filing systems, both manual and computerised, ensuring efficient collation, storage and retrieval of informationUndertake, with complete discretion and in confidence, tasks as directed which may be of a sensitive and confidential natureControl calibration schedules of all registered equipment, records and standards associated with calibration in line with general calibration proceduresIdeal candidates will have the following attributes;A background in a security compliance related role, familiarity with handling sensitive informationPrevious history with a List X / FSC / IPSA accredited business or involvement with UK Government Security FrameworksDue to the sensitive nature of this role, ideal candidates must be UK nationals, either holding current Security Clearance (SC) or being eligible for itAn adaptable nature to balance both aspects of the role, self-motivated with a can-do attitudeAs well as a competitive salary and training, company benefits include;
