Job Description
Due to the continued growth and expansion of our UK Security and Governance team, we are looking to recruit an experienced IT Secure Network Manager who will oversee the management of AECOM's current and future classified networks.
The successful candidate be an essential part of the Security Governance Team and will assist in the development of our classified network capabilities in the UK.
In this high-profile role, the successful candidate will be the first point of direct contact for staff, clients, partners, and suppliers regarding AECOMs Secure Networks.
This is a relatively new role which will grow as the company and new networks are introduced.
The position is located within the Security Services function and will support the business strategy on providing secure environments suitable for client projects.
Job Responsibilities
This is a senior level IT Security Governance audit role. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Overseeing the Security and Management of HMG classified networks within the UK and Ireland.
Representing IT Security Governance at the Working level and Strategic Risk Committee level meetings.
Planning with third party suppliers for annual IT Health checks and Cyber Essentials Plus checks for corporate, classified, and nuclear networks.
Audit third party IT Network service providers to ensure that appropriate security audit checks are carried out.
Be a permanent member of the risk governance committees and take part in Secure Network and Strategic Working Group meetings.
Oversee applications for new software for classified networks through the relevant change advisory board.
Provide IT secure responses to client IT security questionnaires.
Seek assurance from and liaise with AECOM IT Cyber Security Teams.
Supply timely IT Security reports to senior risk governance and business stakeholders.
Work with the Company Security Controller and Security Vetting Team to ensure that all classified network users hold the appropriate level of clearance for network access.
Accountable for third party vendor relationships, ensuring that contractual SLAs are in place and that our networks are audited in line with NCSCs "10 steps to Cyber Security".
Responsible for the documentation and management of all classified network assets.
Control removal and reissue of account Licences.
Issue monthly report to the business in relation to current and future classified networks, with recommendations for possible improvements and mitigations.
Budget management for all classified networks and user account costs.
Ensure that MOD Cert mandated alerts are reviewed and mitigated by the supply chain leaving a recognised audit trail.
Support the Company Security Controller on network accreditation activities.
Attend external security seminars and present new legislation that may be required to the relevant governance committees.
Support the Company Security Controller in security incident investigation activity.
Identify and manage technical issues for our AECOM teams; provide expert-level review and recommendation in respect of issue resolution alongside vendor support teams.
Work closely with AECOM colleagues, project partners and stakeholders to support the development and delivery of assigned projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Work experience in a similar role over seeing IT Secure environments for classified data at the OFFICIAL SENSITIVE level and above.
Experience or postgraduate degree in data networks/cyber security or in an associated field with networks and security.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proven experience in influencing technical and non-technical teams on complex issues.
Demonstrable ability to learn new technologies quickly and use that knowledge into the development and delivery of projects and bids.
Willingness to obtain relevant government Security Check (SC) clearance.
Eligible to achieve Developed Vetting Clearance for future security systems.
Must be a sole UK national (historical or previous nationalities may be an issue and must be revealed).
Ability to manage asset/software charging.
Desirable Requirements
Professional certification in computer networks / information systems / security e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISO27001:2022 Lead Auditor.
Strong network security knowledge and skills.
We are looking for an IT Security governance subject matter expert who has sufficient experience and knowledge, who needs limited supervision.
We are looking for someone who has previously worked in the Engineering Design Consultancy workspace and is sympathetic to their needs.
Demonstrable work experience in network design, development and delivery for Official Sensitive level and above data management.
Ability and instinct for developing novel ideas in close engagement with clients/partners/technology providers.
