Secondary English Teacher, Merton - September 2024

Start date: 02/09/#####

Pay scale: MPS - UPS Inner London

Contract: Full time/ Long term (replacing a permanent member of staff)

We're currently recruiting for an English teacher to start next (academic) year at a good school in Merton area. The position will be teaching mainly KS3 and KS4 English.

This high achieving Academy in Merton have an environment where pupils and staff behave responsibly and contribute fully as they develop a clear sense of belonging to the school community.

The secondary school is committed to educating the whole person and helping its pupils to understand the importance of responsibility, compassion, competition, fairness and honesty in all that they do.

Teaching students the skills of self-discipline, co-operation, respect and tolerance is seen as essential, as without these skills it is believed that academic objectives cannot be reached.

OFSTED have rated the school as 'Outstanding' and say behaviour at the school is "considerate and courteous".

  • Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
