CFC consult are on the lookout for a 2nd Chef to join a Care Home kitchen based in Haywards Heath
Salary : �27,040/ Per Annum
This is an opportunity for Chefs who want to oversee a section of the kitchen, be it larder, fish, sauces, garnish, or hot starter.
Duties and about�:
- 40 hours/week + overtime
- Shifts : As per the rota
- Weekends included
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
- Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you
- Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
- Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
Skills�:
- Great cooking skills
- A cool head
- An ability to delegate appropriately
- Organisational flair
- A good financial acumen and basic understanding of GP�
Qualification:�
- Any health and safety and Food Safety qualification
- A City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2 qualification would be beneficial.
