Net zero is one of our priority strategic objectives and this role will play an important part in ensuring we deliver on our commitments. Scope 3 is an area less developed than our approach to scopes 1 and 2, and you will play a pivotal role in shaping our approach.As a Scope 3 Analyst you’ll be responsible for maturing our approach to scope 3. In this role you will be Severn Trent’s’ analyst for scope 3 data with key responsibility for providing essential analytical insights to help inform and shape our scope 3 strategy and reduction plans. You will work with the business, and a wide range of stakeholders to drive improvements and establish processes and systems for data collection and improvement in order to drive reduction. Data and data improvement is an essential foundation for our scope 3 strategy. You’ll work alongside our Net Zero Reporter within the team who currently reports GHG data across all three scopes.Some Of Your Other Key Accountabilities Will IncludeReview and optimise systems and processes for data collection and reporting.Develop and deliver a data improvement plan for scope 3 data.Deliver an excellent level of insight into scope 3 performance - identifying trends, opportunities and risks, working with the business areas to help shape our scope 3 reduction strategy. Support development of future scope 3 Science Based Targets and appropriate monitoring. Engage with external stakeholders and industry Groups on improving scope 3 performance across industry and driving forward best practice. .Responsible for the collection, analysis, assurance and reporting process for scope 3 Group greenhouse gas emissions data.What You’ll Bring To The RoleTo be considered for this role, we are looking for experience in driving data improvements, strong stakeholder management experience and an ability to analyse and provide insights on complex data. Strong data/ analytical skills will be required for the role.
