We are currently looking for a Cryo-EM Scientific Software Developer to join a leading Drug Discovery company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Cryo-EM Scientific Software Developer you will participate in the development and maintenance of high-throughput Cryo-EM data processing and visualisation platforms.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Scientific Software Developer, Cryo-EM will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Develop web applications for Cryo-EM processing and data visualisation/analysis.
2. Develop and improve processing backend through the implementation of robust coding practices and effective version control systems.
3. Implement new methodologies, software packages, and functionalities into the platform processing backend.
4. Integrate algorithms that communicate with microscope image acquisition software via the manufacturer's Python API to effectively guide data collection.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Scientific Software Developer, Cryo-EM we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Hands-on experience with single particle Cryo-EM data processing and analysis.
2. Expert experience in Python and JavaScript.
3. Familiarity with common software development tools and practices (version control, testing, etc.)
