Science Teacher Required

Snowfields Academy (Bearsted College)

September 2024 start, Permanent role

Paid to scale

The Supply Register is currently working in partnership with Snowfields Academy to find a Science Teacher to join their team from September 2024. This is an exciting and rare chance to join the Bearsted campus and play a pivotal role in its success and development, laying the path for future years.  Snowfields Academy Bearsted opened in September 2020 as a brand new purpose-built special secondary school accommodating 140 students.

Teaching staff at Snowfields Academy are expected to provide outstanding educational opportunities for all of our pupils in order to ensure every student reaches their full potential. We are looking for outstanding practitioners who are creative and imaginative teachers with the ability to plan highly effective learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students. Excellent classroom management skills and high expectations of all pupils are essential as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum and new assessment framework. As Bearsted college is a specialist ASD provision, we will be looking for experienced mainstream teachers who have a real passion for meeting the complex and holistic needs of young people with ASD. Experience in an ASD/SEN is desirable.

Bearsted College offers an exceptional learning environment designed and resourced to meet the needs of learners who all have an EHCP with ASD as their primary need. You would join a highly experienced and passionate department of science teachers with a supportive and inspiring Director of Learning who is head of the department. All students have their own devices so there is plenty of opportunity for blended teaching and learning.
