Think FE is thrilled to be working with the best Health and Science Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year in their search for a skilled and enthusiastic Science Assessor.
Position: Permanent, Full-time
Work: Remote, with some in-person assessments
Salary: £25,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Nationwide in the UK (North East, North West, Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands, South East, East of England and South West)
About the Role:

Well then this position of Scientific Assessor is for you!!
In this position, you will:
Organize your own schedule due to the remote nature of the work.
Deliver 2-3 hour sessions to groups of 10 about four times a week.
Visit learners at their workplaces throughout their apprenticeships, ensuring the quality of their work and the working environment.
Ensure students adhere to lab safety regulations and are not exposed to any hazards.
Ideal candidate will have:
Have a minimum of 2 years of professional laboratory experience (e.g., researcher, lab technician, lab assistant, or similar)
Ideally hold a degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedicine, or similar).
Be eager to learn and develop professionally.
Have a minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C / 4).
Must have a driving license and access to a car.
Benefits:
Competitive salary of £25,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience).
25 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays.

Travel reimbursement at 45p per mile for site visits.
