Job Title: School Site Assistant

Location: Southampton, UK

Position Type: Full-time, Temp to perm

Start Date: Immediately
We are currently seeking a proactive and diligent School Site Assistant to join a school based in Southampton on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the school site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks to upkeep the school premises.
  • Assisting with health and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitoring and managing stock levels for cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Responding promptly to any maintenance or repair issues as they arise.
  • Undertaking minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Supporting the setup and breakdown of equipment for school events and activities.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong practical skills with the ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to school environments would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant background checks.
