Setting:�Alternative Provision School



Pay rate:��95.00 - �120.00 per day (depending on experience)



Start date:�Immediate



Duration:�long term with the view to go permanent



Active Recruitment are working with an Outstanding Alternative Provision school in West London, who are looking for an experienced Inclusion Mentor to join them as soon as possible on a temp to perm basis. The purpose of the role is to work closely with the SENCO and school leaders in order to support to young people with special educational, social and emotional difficulties. The Inclusion Mentor will develop a 1:1 mentoring relationship with learner receiving support, aimed at achieving the goals defined in their individual action plan.



Duties of the Inclusion Mentor




  • Create and maintain effective, immediate intervention strategies for behaviour incidents

  • Risk Assessments for a designated group of students.

  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students.

  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.

  • Support students to develop resilience, independence, and emotional regulation, both learning in lessons and forming positive relationships with peers and staff.

  • Develop conventional teaching methods so as to meet individual needs of each child

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to SEN students with learning disabilities and cognitive impairments, promoting students' access and engagement.

  • Discuss children's problems or issues with parents and other staff members to decide appropriate actions.

  • Maintain a record of evaluations as evidence of effective practice, support and guidance
