School Cleaner

Ipplepen Primary School (United Schools Federation) The United Schools Federation is seeking to appoint two Cleaning staff at Ipplepen Primary school, near Newton Abbot. Both posts will be for 2 hours per day, (10 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 15.30pm to17.30pm, term time. These roles will also require 20 hours, "deep cleaning" usually over the summer holidays- cleaning times by agreement with our Premises Manager.
We seek two cheerful and hard-working people, ideally with experience in the cleaning trade (training will be available from our senior caretaking team). Due to the nature of the post a level of physical health is required for bending, possible awkward positions, light lifting and pushing. General cleaning duties in a specified area will be your daily routine although you may be required to change to other areas of the school as and when required. You will be part of a team who oversee the safety, security and cleaning of Ipplepen School. Please keep in mind that school cleaning will cover many different areas including toilets as well as the usual classrooms, hallways etc. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role requires a DBS disclosure. This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
