Job Title: Scheme Project Manager
Location: Glasgow (with work throughout Scotland)
Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, a highly sought-after Civil Engineering Contractor based in Glasgow, is seeking an experienced Scheme Project Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the execution of the access for all program, overseeing civil structural renewal projects across Scotland's rail network.

As a Scheme Project Manager, you will be a pivotal part of the operational structure, ensuring the delivery of projects to the highest standards, from design to handover. Collaborating closely with an established team, your focus will be on maintaining the excellent reputation our client has diligently built. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Health & Safety Management.
  • Providing strong leadership and guidance to site staff on live projects.
  • Coordinating projects to meet deadlines and client specifications.
  • Managing project development in line with approved plans and targets.
  • Implementing and managing procurement schedules, productivity trackers, and monitoring outputs.
  • Undertaking additional engineering roles as required.
  • Identifying and monitoring project risks, planning, and implementing risk mitigation.
  • Identifying and realizing Value Engineering opportunities through design and development.
  • Preparing formal project progress and other reports.
  • Sub-contractor management.

To be considered for this opportunity, you should be able to demonstrate:


  • Demonstrable experience at the Project Manager, Senior Engineer, Sub Agent or Site Manager level.
  • Experience in the civil engineering sector, with an advantage in rail,structural and heavy civil project experience.
  • Ideally qualified at the HNC/HND level as a minimum.
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including clients and designers.
